But fans have targetted big production houses for allegedly banning Sushant Singh Rajput. The petition has received more than 5 lakh signatures from people around the country

- A lawyer based in Muzaffarpur, Bihar has filed a criminal complaint against eight Bollywood celebrities in regard to actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death. The eight celebrities who have been named in the complaint are Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Aditya Chopra, Sajid Nadiadwala, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Bhushan Kumar, Ekta Kapoor and director Dinesh Vijan. Advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha alleged that the eight personalities conspired against Sushant, leading to his suicide, which he pleaded amounted to murder.

- Film-maker Abhinav Singh Kashyap has accused Salman Khan and his family - brothers Arbaaz and Sohail - of sabotaging his career. In a long social media post on Facebook, he also alleged that the bullying and gaslighting has affected his mental health. Kashyap said that Rajput’s death is just the ‘tip of the iceberg’, just like the #MeToo movement was for a much bigger ‘malaise’ in Bollywood. Arbaaz Khan has now responded to Kashyap’s allegations. According to a Times of India report, Arbaaz said, “We will take legal course against him.” Arbaaz also said that Abhinav is clearly contradicting himself from what he earlier said. Sharing instances, the filmmaker shared links of his earlier interviews which he did at the time when ‘Dabangg 2’ was announced.

Sushant Singh Rajput, Bollywood actor who starred in films like Chhichhore, PK and a biopic on MS Dhoni, was found dead at his Bandra residence in Mumbai with police suspecting suicide. The 34-year-old actor was reportedly found hanging by a domestic help who raised alarm. Bandra Police are at the actor’s residence and details are awaited. His body was brought to Dr RN Cooper Municipal General Hospital from his residence. So far, no suicide note is found. The actor, who became popular with his starring role in the television show ‘Pavitra Rishta’ made his foray into films with ‘Kai Po Che!’ in 2013. Among popular Sushant Singh Rajput movies are ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’, ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, ‘Raabta’, ‘Kedarnath’ and ‘Sonchiriya’. Rajput's last big screen release was Rajkumar Hirani's ‘Chhichhore’.

His death will be mourned by Bollywood fans across the globe still reeling from the deaths of legendary actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan within days of each other in April.
